Homologues
FASTA format is a text-based format that represents the nucleotide sequence or amino-acid sequence of DNA and proteins, in single-letter codes. The first line of FASTA is the description line; it starts with a ‘>’ symbol and is followed by the identifier of the sequence. The subsequent lines are the sequence data.
