Modular Domains
We used SMART [1] to research for modular domains in the representative proteins. One conserved domain was found in each protein: the Pleckstrin homology (PH) domain (described in the Introduction). For all human isoforms, the e-value was 7.935e-17. For cattle and naked-mole rat, the e-value was 9.769e-17.
For the human isoform a, it was found in positions 1144 to 1248
For the human isoform b, it was found in positions 1128 to 1232
For the human isoform c, it was found in positions 1101 to 1205
For the cattle isoform, the PH domain was found in positions 1145 to 1249
For the naked-mole rat, the PH domain was found in positions 1139 to 1243
